TCCIA RAY WILLIAMS OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AWARD
Sponsored by the Texas Community College Instructional Administrators (TCClA), the Ray Williams Outstanding Leadership Award is given annually to recognize instructional administrators, who exemplify leadership by:
1) making a substantial impact in the college's effectiveness
2) demonstrating creativity and innovation in his/her professional responsibilities
3) demonstrating sustained commitment to instructional issues and challenges
4) influencing a statewide initiative or project
It is the expectation that a recipient of this award has exerted influenceat the college level in one or more of the following areas:
1) institutional effectiveness
2) effective management
3) curriculum development
4) transformation of organizational environment
5) faculty development
Nominees must be an administrator in a Texas community college and may
likely hold one of the following positions: President, Chief Academic
Officer, Dean, Division Head, Director, Associate/Assistant Dean,
Department Chair, and Program Coordinator. There may be instructional
leaders with other titles, however, who would also qualify for this award
through their role and responsibilities, in relation to the criteria listed
above. Current members of the TCCIA Board of Directors are not eligible
for nomination.
Nominations are to be made by April 13 to the Awards Committee. Award
recommendations will be made on or before April 27 to the TCCIA Executive
Committee from the Awards Committee. Executive Committee approval will be
given by May 4 to the Awards Committee.
